Ajay Patri has an MFA in Fiction from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, where he was a Sonny Mehta Fellow. His writing has been shortlisted for the Commonwealth Short Story Prize and the Bristol Short Story Prize. His work has also received support from the Michener-Copernicus Foundation, the South Asia Speaks Foundation, the Stephen and Tabitha King Foundation and James Patterson’s Go Finish Your Book! campaign.

A qualified lawyer, Ajay has a degree in law from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore. He splits his time between Bangalore and Iowa City.
